Come on Down to the Fairfield County Fair!
The last big county fair of the season, Fairfield County’s fair is full of fun rides…and great food, including Dandy Dog! We have our half-pound and quarter-pound dogs, of course, along with yummy root beer and dreamy orange floats. (Be on the lookout for a special limited-time float flavor…strawberry! I know, crazy, right? But sweet and creamy and pink!)
Look for us right behind the grandstand’s back door. While you go under the bleachers, be sure to donate to the Lancaster Band Boosters Band of Gold. The kids are raising money to travel to Washington, DC, next 4th of July for the national parade!
This year we’ll bring back our Thursday night special, Seafood Gumbo. Look for other soup specials because it’s supposed to be a beautiful fall week—sunny but not too warm during the day, and crisp at night! We’ll have some hot coffee on tap, too.
The Amanda Firefighters’ Festival starts Thursday night at 5 p.m. and includes a parade at 6 p.m.! Whee! Who doesn’t love a parade? A big highlight for the weekend is the Amanda queen and princesses will be strolling around with their sister princesses and queens from other small towns around Ohio. And at Dandy Dog, we know how much theses gorgeous courts love root beer floats! (These pictures are the Baltimore court. Come back later for Amanda court photos!)
The rides also look great this year, and the weather promises to be beautiful Friday and Saturday.
Yup, Dandy Dog will be at the Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival again this year to offer half-pound and quarter-pound hot dogs! Stop by for a Slaw Dog, a Chicago Dog, or even a Cajun Dog! We’ll bring along our delicious Root Beer and Dreamy Orange Floats to cool you off after the parade.
Make them the DANDY Dog days of August by coming to Baltimore, Ohio, this weekend!
Our first appearance at the annual Baltimore Festival happens this weekend, Thursday through Saturday night! We can’t wait to serve half-pound hot dogs to a whole new city of folks.
And we’re thrilled that Arnett Howard will be there Saturday night with his jazz band at 7 p.m. MMMMMMmmm…hot dogs and jazz! It doesn’t get any better on a hot August day in Ohio!
Douglas has beat out other competitors the last two years in a heated (and hot!) competition. This year, we hear he has a few local challengers out to wrest away the honor!
But even more importantly, can you beat Lancaster’s Mayor David Smith?
Visit the Dandy Dog booth at the Lancaster, Ohio, fairgrounds by 4:00 p.m. to enter, or click here to register by email.
The start of the 2013 fairs & festivals season is just around the corner. Dandy Dog! will be at the Community Days Festival May 10–12 at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds!
Psst….Dandy Dog! will be unveiling a creamy, dreamy mouthwatering treat!

Look for Dandy Dog outside the grandstand. Use your Dandy Dollars for great savings! We’ll be featuring yummy hot dogs with ALL NEW topping ideas, root beer floats (don’t forget your mug to get $1 off your refill), and more.
In honor of our Dandy Dog Demolition Derby car, we have a special dog:
A Demo Dog is everything we have piled high on your favorite size dog! That’s right–onions, chili, pepper, sauerkraut, cheese, jalapenos, sweet-hot pepper jelly, tomatoes, cole slaw, relish, sport peppers, cajun spice, and anything else you can find in our cart!
Watch the demolition derby on Friday night. If the Dandy Dog car wins, everyone with a Dandy Dog mug gets root beer floats for $1 ! Whee!
Yes, it’s a little drippy this weekend, but people are still coming down to Canal Winchester’s Labor Day Festival! Join us for food, fun, rides, and lots of music.
On Monday, drop by with your union card and get $1 off any hot dog, brat, or root beer float!
Did we mention there’s also a beer tent? Run by Kingy’s Pizza, it lets you buy a pitcher of beer, listen to the music pumping out from the main stage, and then take home the pitcher as a souvenir.
